VIDEO & IMAGE QUALITY:
The first one with it, and it won't be the last. With the all new GP2 Processor, GoPros now deliver faster, smoother performance, and double the frame rates. The video quality maxes out at 5.3K at 60fps, and can get as many as 240 frames per second (fps) at 2.7K for ultra-smooth slow motion. The photo quality reaches a top 23MP for detailed pictures. The new & improved HyperSmooth 4.0 enhances stabilization and enjoyment of viewing the camera's photage. With the GoPro HERO 10 Black, there's also an improved image quality in darker environments. We find this particularly helpful when camping and recording with little to no light, such as in front of a fire.
PHYSICAL FEATURES:
The GoPro HERO 10 Black is waterproof to 33ft or 10m deep, fully submerged, without any additional housing. However, if you've seen GoPro footage on YouTube, you've lilely seen GoPro scuba diving footage. We even use GoPros to scuba dive, deeper than 10 meters or 33 feet. How? The GoPro HERO 10 has an additional option of using an underwater protective housing, literally protecting the GoPro from many elements in nature. One of these include being able to scuba dive as deep as 197ft! That's definetly an upgrade over other action cameras! There's also a front display, which is a front color screen mainly used for vlogging (major upgrade over GoPro HERO 8), faster wireless & wired footage transfers, and cloud connectivity (from the new updates over previous GoPros). Finally, the battery life, although not a huge upgrade over the GoPro HERO 9 Black, has modest improvements to extend your filming time longer than ever!
COMPATIBILITY:
One of our favorite features, (especially if you plan to upgrade to the GoPro HERO 10 from the HERO 9, or upgrade in the future), is that the HERO 10 is completely compatible with most HERO9 accessories including batteries and mods, and also works with newer model accessories as well (up to GoPro Hero 12). One of our favorite accessories is the compatability of the GoPro Volta, reaching up to 4 hours of continuous recording.
